SALARY: $45,278 to $56,512 per year

QUALIFICATIONS:
Experience in the preventive security/intelligence field and ability to function with a high degree of initiative and independence. Proven track record of relationship building and acting as a liaison are necessary. Superior communication (written and verbal), interpersonal, problem solving, analytical, investigative and interviewing skills are essential. Experience in law enforcement and/or the correctional environment is an asset. Computer experience in Microsoft Office is required. The successful candidate will be subject to a Criminal Record and Child Abuse Registry Checks and may be required to undergo an RCMP enhanced reliability security check.

DUTIES:
Reporting to the Manager of the Preventative Security and Intelligence Unit, the incumbent is responsible for the collection, evaluation, analysis and distribution of preventive security intelligence information for the Corrections Division; conducts operational investigations related to the intelligence program; provides tactical intelligence in support of correctional operations in provincial facilities and community offices and also provides strategic intelligence including daily incident analysis to senior managers throughout the Division and is expected to develop and maintain effective working relationships and partnerships with related agencies.
