CSIS employee dies in murder-suicide

Published: Monday, June 02One of the two people found dead in what police think was a murder-suicide near Ottawa Saturday was an employee of the Canadian Security Intelligence Service. CSIS spokesperson Manon Bérubé confirmed Alicia Bateman, found dead in a home in the community of Orleans, Ont., was an employee. Police discovered the bodies in a two-storey detached red brick house, listed under A. Bateman. Ryan Sawchuk was found hanged and Bateman was found dead in a vehicle in the garage, police said.
