Surveillant

The Canadian Security Intelligence Service is seeking applications for a career in Surveillance in the cities of Ottawa, Toronto, Montreal and Vancouver.

Job summary

In a team environment and under the direction of a team leader the surveillant is responsible for:

• Conducting discreet surveillance.
  
• Researching and analysing information pertaining to surveillance.
  
• Drafting regular operational reports, detailing exact movements and activities.
  
• Candidates should be in good physical health and able to adapt quickly to a variety of settings and situations. Candidates must also be able to work effectively during periods of high intensity and high stress to relatively passive ones.
  
• A high level of initiative, motivation and discretion is required with the ability to work a flexible schedule including shift work and working weekends.
  

Education

Undergraduate Degree or a minimum of a two year Community College Diploma.

Experience

A valid Canadian driver’s license with a minimum of two years experience driving motor vehicles.

Security requirements

Candidates must have no criminal record, be drug free and able to obtain a Top Secret security clearance. This process involves a security interview, a background investigation that includes credit and financial verifications as well as a polygraph examination.

Salary range

$48,100 to $60,080

Employment conditions

Permanent position upon successful completion of various training along with a two year probationary period.
