Education

Masters or Doctoral Degree in psychology from a recognized university.

To be an active member of a recognized psychological professional organization from a Canadian province.

Experience

Experience in assessing personality and psychopathology.

Work Environment

Under the leadership of the Psychological Testing Services Unit Head, the incumbent is responsible for evaluating psychological tests for candidates applying for high security positions. These tests are part of the staffing screening process and are used to determine the candidate's reliability and ability to hold a position at the Communications Security Establishment.

Challenge

The successful candidate will:
Administer standardized tests, analyse and interpret the results.
Conduct psychological interviews with candidates.
Produce written reports.

Additional Requirements / Comments

You must be a Canadian Citizen and eligible for a Top Secret clearance. The assessment process at CSE generally includes: a credit, criminal and Canadian Security Intelligence Service (CSIS) indices background field investigation; polygraph examination; and a psychological assessment, as well as relevant skill tests and interviews.
Proof of your education will be asked for at the interview.

The Communications Security Establishment (CSE) is a seperate organization and is not subject to the Public Service Employemnt Act (PSEA). The organization has its own values-based staffing regime and as such, has the flexibility to determine qulaifications for positions and how these qualifications will be assessed in a selection process.
The selected candidates will be required to pay for their own travel and relocation expenses related to this selection process.
