Education

Graduation from a recognized university.

Experience

Experience in researching, writing, analyzing, and editing documents.
Experience in a publishing, research or analytical environment.
Experience working with computers and with word processing software.

Challenge

Review, evaluate and analyze a wide variety of specialized periodicals, journals, research papers and intelligence reports produced by national and international experts, and establish a network of sources and contacts both within and outside member agencies.

Research, prepare and write complex reports, intelligence assessments and strategic analytical projects.

Provide expert advice on complex issues, assess intelligence and provide strategic analysis focused on national, and international criminal activities for the entire Canadian criminal intelligence community.

Establish a network of sources and contacts within and outside the Criminal Intelligence Service Canada membership in order to maintain subject area expertise and to identify criminal trends and analysis.

Attend meetings, conferences, seminars, and training courses.

Additional Requirements / Comments

Condition of employment:
Security clearance - Secret. This factor is not used at the preselection stage. The Royal Canadian Mounted Police is responsible for the security clearance process.

A written exam will be administered.

Two (2) bilingual imperative positions CBC/CBC
One (1) unilingual english position

An eligibility list may be established for the staffing of similar vacancies.
