TORONTO: Canadian Intelligence Agencies and Islamabad Police on Wednesday started investigation over mysterious death of Canadian national Kafeela Siddiqui.
Talking to BBC Spokesperson of Foreign Office in Ottawa, Bernard Nagoya said that Pakistan had been providing information about investigations of the case and Canadian government was backing the bereaved family in this regard.
It is pertinent to note that Foreign Minister and Prime Minister of Canada remained silent over the issue.
Chairman of York Region of Police said, “our investigation team is in complete contact with Pakistan authorities and we are paying full attention to the case as it was given in the past.” Circumference of the case has been widened and Interpol and intelligence agencies are also supporting us, he added.
Moreover, In an alleged murder case of Canadian national, Kafila Siddiqui, Shahid Jamil who resigned yesterday as State-Minister got his Bail Before Arrest (BBA) application approved on Wednesday.
Shahid Jamil appeared before Additional District & Session Judge (ADSJ) Nisar Baig and tendered application for BBA. His application was approved against depositing bonds worth Rs 1,00000/-
Shahid Jamil, got his bail for section 344, 346 and 319, in under he is accused. He informed the court that police is willing to charge him under "Unintentional Murder".
The BBA is valid till 18th of June after which the Ex-State Minister who resigned after heavy pressure by the government had to re-appear before the same court.
